Does anyone have access to public records such as criminal backround?

If they were in jail then it is public record. You can call any local jail and they will tell you if the person is in or not and what their charges are (or you may have to go in person)… but regarding their “criminal background”, you cannot find out of they have a rap sheet, meaning what and why they were convicted if it was a felony charge. If they are a sex offender, that is also public record.
