Depends what type of records you want…but try typing into the search bar YourTown, YourState County Clerk…that is where you can find records about deeds, liens, DBAs, etc. Or, you might have to go to your local research library.

I’ve also found them to lead to purchasing info. I’d like to find a free one also. I really don’t think it exists.

Try, they have exactly what you’re looking for, an extensive public records database containing every state and county that you can use for free!

has links to lots of free sites all over the country. They do run lots of ads but the links listed are all free to use and are mostly government sites.
