How to tell if someone has been looking me up in public searches?

public records search
helpme asked:

Is it possible to see if someone has been looking you up using intelius or similar public records searches?

I am also wondering since I have looked the occasional person up, and am wondering if they can find out?

I’ve read that searches made by civil servants, using government machines or portals, are tracked.

thanks!

    Unfortunately, there is no real way to do so.

    I know that companies will often look up the names of people that they are interviewing for a job, but there is no real way to tell if you’ve been searched.

    Companies like Google aren’t supposed to keep a record of what people have looked up. It is called privacy protection.

    I too would like to know when someone has searched me.

    They only way to find out what they’ll find is to search yourself!

    I don’t know how you would know if anyone is searching public records on you, but I did find a site with some options to remove your information from public records.

    If you would like some additional information on searching public records you might take a look at the following.

    I found it informative.
