Is there an easy way to find someone in Hawaii?

public records search
Star asked:

My brother moved to Hawaii a few years ago and he kept in touch until about a year ago. I have tried everything in my power to find out what happened, but with no sucess.
All I really know is that he worked in a jewelry store in Honolulu…which is jam packed full of people…lol
Is there any kind of public record search there like there is here?…sorry if I am showing some naivette.

Thanks all!

    okay always use whitepages for names search sometimes you get lucky, then search yellow pages for jewellry stores go from there

    You received two good suggestions. Here are some more: Electric company, telephone company, water company, hospital and cemetaries. I’m not trying to sound morbid, but a lot could have happened to your brother in a year’s time. There isn’t any easy way to search. It will all take time. Good luck locating your brother.

    Your best source would be the white pages if you’re trying to find a particular person. There is no guarantee that he’ll be in there (since you have to have an active phone line in your name to be listed AND you have to request to be listed) but that’s your best bet.

    As for the jewelry store angle, unless you know which store he worked in having the information of that he worked in a busy jewelry store is like knowing that he’s a black man in Washington DC (busy jewelry stores here in Hawaii are a dime a dozen!).

    Good luck finding your brother. For nothing else, try calling/writing to the last known address you have for him and see what kind of response you get.

    Good luck and happy hunting!

    zabasearch.com ~ is one of the best people finder I’ve seen, but there are many more, some have a small fee but they work very well.

    Do you know the name of the jewelry store, or where this jewelry store was located in Honolulu? Would you be willing to post his name in your question? At least you were able to narrow it down to which town, county, and island. You may be able to directly contact the jewelry store if you know the name of it.
