How can I change my public records?

For years my house has been getting bills for a person who has our same last name. Threating bills, and also some ad’s and credit card offers to this same person. And when we moved, his letters kept comming in anyway.

Today I did a public records search, which I didn’t like ’cause all of them you had to pay for but I found one site that gave me more info besides just the name and age. I found on the public records site that this said man is listed as one of our relatives, and I think also his wife because I found another name there that I don’t recognize.
Is there a way to change your public records? Because I have no idea who this man is but I don’t like the idea of him being listed as my relative, mooching off my address

You probably can, but I would get an attorney of some sort to tell you how. I’m sure there are legal papers and research you’ll need, it won’t be as simple as going down to the recorders office and asking them to change it.
