Teresa asked:
Is there a way to search a state’s public records w/o a fee? The state pages start out fee free, but initial hits direct me to a site where I have to pay $40 to know more. Any ideas? I’m trying to find out where/if my father is; he moved out of his condo several years ago w/o a word.

I hate to break it to you, but public records aren’t free. Any site stating otherwise will just charge you in the end. I can however recommend as a site to access records at the cheapest possible cost. It ranges from 14-40 depending on what you want. Good luck!
