why would a lost lawsuit for eviction/non payment of rent be on my credit report but not public records?
i’m a bit confused. 2 years ago, i was sued for eviction/non payment of rent but decided not to go to my court date to plead my side, so it was an automatic judgement for my landlord/property mgmt company and i had the time allowed by law to vacate the property. i have never paid them a penny and now it’s on my credit report under mortgage accounts with the account number field XXXX and really looks like a credit card type entry…BUT i have nothing in my public records and i’ve searched the case database in the county where it was for my name, SS#, DL#, everything and nothing comes up under me.
Does anyone have a clue to why this is? And please don’t lecture me on being sued and not paying them…I’m not making any excuses for the situation and I have made the changes in my life needed now to look at it and be ashamed of myself.
I am just curious if there is a free public record search?
Is there a free public record search where I can look up someone that has been to prison. If so someone please give me the link. thank you
well where i am our court house has a public record search and its free u can see what people have been arrested for and so on, does other states have that?
Foreclosures? How do the sell of these properties work?
Ok. There’s this house for sale. It’s worth about $50,000 more than what they are asking. It is a foreclosure. I searched public records and it appears in the sales record that a bank aquired the property back in January and the price that is listed is about $20,000 less than the appraisal which is the same amount the first owner purchased the home for. Is that price that is listed where the bank took it back the amount owed on the mortgage and the amount they are wanting now?
I made an offer on the house for about $10,000 over asking but that’s still $15,000 less than what the bank got the property for. Did I offer too little? There are already multiple offers on the house. Did they price it so low just to get attention?
But wouldn’t people be more apt to offering $20,000 over asking just because they knew they’d still be getting the house at $30,000 below appraisal or something? I mean would someone offer that much more knowing the asking price was what it is? I figured someone would see this as an easy money making opportunity and blow my offer out of the water.
It’s not being sold by the bank though.. An actual realty company is handling it. Sorry.. these questions might sound dumb but it’s the first offer I’ve ever made … This would be my first house.
Is there any way to search public records for free online?
I’m interested in searching for my birth parents through public records before I try to go through the agency. I don’t want to spend money on a website if I’m not guaranteed results.
I’m looking in Texas, so any website for San Antonio public records would be a great help.
My google searches have been unsuccessful.
